What We Do
Scholarships & Fellowships
We partner with College Possible and Stand for Children to award scholarships to Oregon high school graduates, and with University of Hawaiʻi Manoa to award an annual Climate Change Fellow.
Barbara Leppe Scholarship for Women in Oregon
Our founder Cameron Healy's mom — Barbara, or “Bobby,” as she was affectionately known — was a woman with a reputation for having an independent spirit and cared deeply about young women. She volunteered her time and gave her personal resources to nonprofits serving women.
When she passed away in 2006, her family and friends contributed to a Scholarship Fund in her memory. In 2008, a permanent endowment was established in her name at The Healy Foundation with a clear mission: "To serve challenged young women who deserve an opportunity to take positive steps forward in their lives through educational scholarships."

The Healy Foundation Climate Change Fellowship
Beginning in 2021, The Healy Foundation began a partnership with the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Institute for Sustainability and Resilience to support an annual research assistant position — The Healy Foundation Climate Change Fellow.
The Institute for Sustainability and Resilience (ISR) aims to help Hawaiʻi meet our local and global obligations to environmental sustainability, with an emphasis on promoting well-being from the lens of community resilience. The ISR fosters multidisciplinary curricular programs that empower students to meet the critical challenges of bridging local to global, problems to solutions. The Healy Foundation Climate Change Fellow conducts research and provides other support activities for the City and County of Honolulu Climate Change Commission.
