Protecting Oregon’s Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument

Fiercely strong defenders of the environment, clean water, youth, frontline communities and more, we often partner with lawyers and law organizations. Earthjustice is one of our legal partners in both Oregon and Hawaiʻi.

Earthjustice's legacy of 35 years in Oregon includes their new Climate Forest Campaign and vigorous defense of a hard-won 2019 court decision that upheld the expansion of Oregon’s Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, an ecological wonder that provides a vital climate refuge to an incredible diversity of species.

Protection of mature and old-growth trees and forests needs to be a cornerstone of U.S. climate policy, and we are confident Earthjustice will keep fighting until the climate future is secure.

We’ve come together to launch the Climate Forests Campaign because conserving our remaining older forests and trees on federal public lands is one of the country’s most straightforward, impactful and cost-effective climate solutions.
